Curbside recycling is available in most areas around Kingwood and they take aluminum and steel cans, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, paper and cardboard that fits in the bin and sometimes glass. No sorting is required. The pick up is usually every other week.
Does your Community Association provide curbside recycling?
Each Community Association (CA) chooses the company they want to work with and most of them offer the choice of subscribing individually to recycling for an extra fee. However, we believe that this is a very inefficient way to recycle and using the Park & Ride drop off center is then a better choice. Keep Kingwood Green believes that curbside recycling for everyone is ultimately the best option. This could be done by each CA by simply renegotiating their contract and it may even lower your monthly cost. We are willing to give a presentation to any CA but we need your help. If you would like to have curbside recycling included in your trash service, contact us at info@keepkingwoodgreen.org and join us for a presentation to your CA.
