B.O.P.A. This Saturday!
Spring B.O.P.A (Batteries, Oil, Paint and Antifreeze) is here: the collection event is this Saturday, April 28th, at the Metro Park & Ride, from 9am to 1pm.
The following items are accepted:
-Latex Paint (15 gal limit)
-Used Oil (used motor oil & cooking oil – 15 gal limit each)
-Antifreeze (15 gal limit)
-Rechargeable Batteries - including car batteries (Lead Acid), Lithium-Ion, Lithium Polymer, Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd), and Nickel-Metal Hybrid (NiMH) batteries
-Large Appliances containing freon (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, please clean out)
-Scrap Metal (by Junky Business) including Xmas lights. (No TVs!)
The following items are NOT accepted:
-Oil Based Paint
-Electronics (1st Saturday of the month)
-Household Hazardous Waste/Chemicals
-Tires
-Business Waste, Medical Waste, PCB’s, Dioxins, Ammunition, Explosives, Compressed Gas Cylinders, Smoke Detector or Household Trash
KKG will once again collect small amounts of household, single use batteries - Alkaline AAA, AA, D and C. Please DO NOT drop off damaged and leaking batteries.

And Drug Take-Back Event
On the same day as B.O.P.A., you will also be able to drop off any old, expired and unused medications between 10am and 2pm. Bring your unwanted drugs to the DEA agents, at the Park & Ride, for anonymously disposal.

And Free Community Shred Day
Also this Saturday, from 9am to 1pm, there will be Free Document Shredding at the Atascocita branch of the Community Resource Credit Union, on 6903 Atascocita Road, Atascocita, TX 77346.
Please DO NOT bring the following materials: photographs, plastic binders, diskettes, computer tapes, plastic transparencies, micro-fiche, film, tapes, magazines or newspapers. Limit is 6 legal/letter size boxes.
