Dispose of your unwanted drugs!
The DEA's 10th National Drug Take-Back Day this coming Saturday
Date: Saturday, September 26th
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Location: Kingwood Park & Ride on West Lake Houston Parkway
DEA began hosting National Prescription Drug Take-Back events in 2010. At the previous nine Take-Back Day events, 2,411 tons of unwanted, unneeded or expired medications were surrendered for safe and proper disposal. The disposal service is free and anonymous for consumers, with no questions asked.
So gather together those pill bottles, expired cold and allergy medicines, and bring them down to the Kingwood Park n Ride this Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
This is a rare event - so be sure and tell your friends to come down there this Saturday!

Join Keep Kingwood Green at Mercer Botanic Gardens
Saturday, September 26th, 10 AM to 4 PM
Mercer Botanical Gardens
22306 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX77338
(At the West Aboretum, coming from FM 1960 on Aldine Westfield, turn left at the traffic light)
Several representatives from Keep Kingwood Green will be offering tips and demonstrations on how to compost in your back yard. Almost 40% of trash that goes to the landfill in the Lake Houston area is green waste from yards and gardens. With a small investment in equipment and just a few minutes a day you can turn this "waste" into wonderful compost and mulch for your garden, plants and trees. Let us show you how on our website.
In addition Mercer will be offering fall plants to spice up your yard for fall. Other educational booths and craft vendors will also be there. Come on out! Enjoy a great fall day in this Harris County park! If you have never been there, you are in for a treat. While we will be on the West side of the park, you will also want to explore the East side.
To receive additional information, call Mercer Botanic Gardens at 713-274-4160 or visit their website.
